It's time to send your inclusions.

The postage instructions vary slightly depending on whether you're within Australia or sending Internationally.

If you're sending your inclusions from outside of Australia please scroll about halfway down this page for international instructions.

If you've ordered a postage kit it will be dispatched to you within 3 business days and will have instructions included.

Sending within Australia.

Breastmilk.

Seal 10-15mL of milk (about 1 tbs) in a sterile milk storage bag with the air squeezed out. If you struggle to get 10-15mL don't stress, we can make a stone with as little as 2.5mL.

You can use fresh or frozen/expired milk. If frozen, please make sure to defrost and squeeze any air out of the milk bag before sending to us.

Label the bag with your name and your order number beginning with 'S'. Wrap in paper towel and seal inside a second storage/resealable bag.

It's important that you only send milk in a sterile bag (the regular kind used to store expressed milk). This will prevent your milk from turning mouldy in the post! Your milk doesn't need to be kept cold when sending.

Pregnancy Test.

You can choose to send the plastic cap, the whole test, or just the test strip.

Seal your test/cap in a resealable bag labelled with your name and order number on the front.

Ashes.

Please send about 1/2 teaspoon of ashes in a small resealable bag labelled with your name and your order number beginning with 'S'.

Hair.

Mailing a pinch of hair approximately 0.5cm thick and about 3-4cm long is best.

We can work with as little as a single strand of hair. Seal in a resealable bag labelled with your name and your order number beginning with 'S'.

All other inclusions:

We only need about 1/2 teaspoon of sand or soil and can work with a small amount of any other inclusion. Please send a small amount inside a sealed resealable bag labelled with your name and order number beginning with 'S'.

Please make sure the umbilical stump and placenta is completely dry/dehydrated before sending. You can do this by using a dehydrator or an oven.

If using a dehydrator dry it until it is hard and can be snapped.

If using an oven, heat it to 180°C for at least 30 minutes with the door cracked open, or until it is completely dry.

Flowers need to be dried for a minimum of 3 weeks before being mailed to us.

Postage options.

We recommend sending your package via tracked post. You can use a small bubble mailer from your local post office. This should cost around $10

If you're only sending the flat test strip from inside your pregnancy test, it can be sent as a regular tracked letter.

Anything that isn't used will be returned with your completed order.

Sending Internationally

When sending internationally there are a few extra steps you need to follow.

If you're sending breastmilk, colostrum, umbilical stump or placenta you'll need to print the permit you receive in your instruction email and attach it to the outside of your package.

Sand/Soil/Flowers.

Unfortunately we're unable to receive these inclusions for international orders.

Pregnancy Test.

You can choose to send the plastic cap, the whole test, or just the test strip.

Seal your test/cap in a resealable bag labelled with your name and order number on the front.

You don't need to fill out the permit to send the pregnancy test.

Ashes.

Send 1/2 teaspoon of ashes in a small resealable bag labelled with "cremation ashes", your name and order number beginning with 'S'.

You don't need to fill out the permit to send ashes.

Hair/Fur.

A pinch of hair approximately 3-5cm (1-2in) long and 0.5cm (0.2in) thick is best. We can work with as little as a single strand of hair as well.

Seal hair/fur in a resealable bag labelled with your name and order number beginning with 'S'.

You do not need to fill out the permit to send hair or fur.

Breastmilk/Colostrum.

Breastmilk and Colostrum needs to be heat treated before sending (customs requirement). To do this please heat your milk to 120°C (250°F) in a small pot/pan or a pressure cooker for 5 -1 5 minutes depending on how much you're heat treating.

Seal 10-15mL (1 tbs) of milk inside a sterile milk storage bag with the air squeezed out. Wrap the bag in paper towel and seal it inside a second bag.

Label the bag with:

Product 1: Breastmilk expressed from human breast

(Your Full Name)

Invoice Number: (your order number beginning with S)

Please don't send more than 50mL as customs won't release it.

It's important that you only send milk in a sterile storage bag (the regular kind used to store expressed milk). This will prevent your milk from turning mouldy in the post! Your milk doesn't need to be kept cold when sending.

You'll need to print, fill out, and send the permit with your package.

Placenta.

Placenta needs to be heat treated before sending. If you're sending a placenta pill, this has already been done. Please empty the contents of the capsule into a resealable bag to send.

If sending a section of placenta that hasn't been encapsulated you'll need to heat treat it yourself. You can do this by placing it in a food dehydrator or on a baking tray in your oven.

If using a dehydrator dry it until it is hard and can be snapped.

If using an oven, heat it to 180°C (356°F) for at least 30 minutes with the door cracked open, or until it is completely dry.

Seal the placenta powder or piece in a resealable bag.

Label as product 1, 2 or 3 (depending on the number of inclusions you're sending. If you've already labelled something as product 1, this will be product 2), eg:

Product 2: Dried human placenta

(Your Full Name)

Invoice Number: (your order number beginning with S)

You'll need to print and send the permit with your package.

Umbilical Stump.

Umbilical stump needs to be heat treated before sending. Place on a baking tray in the oven with the door cracked open. Heat it to 180°C (356°F) for at least 30 minutes.

Seal the umbilical stump in a resealable bag and label as product 1, 2 or 3 (depending on the number of inclusions your sending. If you've already labelled something as product 1, this will be product 2), eg:

Product 2: Dried human umbilical cord

(Your Full Name)

Invoice Number: (your order number beginning with S)

You'll need to print and send the permit with your package.

Postage options.

If you're sending a pregnancy test strip only, you can send it as a regular letter with tracking.

For all other inclusions you can use a small padded mailer and send it with the large letter option from your local post office.

For your postage calculations, your inclusions will be mailed to North Richmond, NSW, Australia 2754.

The exact address will be given in the instruction email. The address for orders placed outside of Australia is NOT the PO address, it is our physical address.

If you haven't received the instruction email and are sending breastmilk, placenta or umbilical cord internationally, please check your junk mail folder and then email us at hello@milkandstone.com.au to have a copy of the permit re-sent. If you are not sending any of these three inclusions you don't need the permit.
